I’m Claudia Wey, a Consulting Principal User Experience Designer at MathWorks.

I’m passionate about creating clever, elegant design solutions that empower users to focus on their work and drive technical innovation. I find joy in creating order, finding patterns, and presenting technologies naturally to the user. I’m eager to share my experience with others and build a community of outstanding designers.

I have a BS/MA in Computer Science from Pisa University. My professional career began as a robotic researcher. In 1996, I led the redesign of a novel, immersive speech-enabled user interface for CAD applications, which marked the beginning of my journey as a UX designer. In 2005, I joined MathWorks and have since led strategic design initiatives and have been awarded 22 patents during my tenure.
